On March 6-7, 2024, Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (Rondeli Foundation) organized annual Rondeli Security Conference- Security and Democracy amid Geopolitical Rivalry, with the support of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung South Caucasus Office (FES), British Embassy Tbilisi, and Swedish Embassy Tbilisi.
The Conference focused on major challenges to international and regional security through the prism of global competition between democracies and autocracies, assessing the threats to the rules-based international order that emanate from revisionist states and non-state actors, and the ways the West can better support freedom and democracy around the world, especially in regions that are at the center of geopolitical rivalry and under the risk of authoritarian encroachments.
With more than 250 participants, the Conference brought together speakers from the United States, the EU, the South Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Middle East, who were the representatives of think tanks, academia, government, and media
