Prof. Eitan Shamir

Prof. Eitan Shamir is Director of the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (BESA Center) and head of the MA program in Security and Strategy in the Political Studies Department at Bar-Ilan University. His research interests and publications focus on military strategy, command, and innovation. He is the author of Transforming Command: The Pursuit of Mission Command in the US, UK and Israeli Armies (2011) and The Art of Military Innovation: Lessons from the IDF (with Edward Luttwak, forthcoming in 2023).
