Volodymir Sheiko

Director General of the Ukrainian Institute, is an expert in cultural diplomacy, cultural management, marketing and communications.

Before leading the Institute, Volodymyr worked for over 10 years at the British Council office in Ukraine as Director Arts, Regional Arts Manager for South-East Europe and Central Asia, and Regional Marketing and Communications Manager.

Throughout his career, he designed and implemented over 300 cultural projects and events: exhibitions, art residencies, film screenings, professional internships, concerts, conferences, literary programmes, and theatre performances across Europe and in the US.

Volodymyr is a graduate of the National University of Kyiv, Summer Institute on Public Diplomacy at the University of Southern California, and the Distinguished H. Humphrey Fellowship from the University of Washington. He holds an MBA degree from the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School.
